EPSOs are Early Post Secondary Opportunities which provide students with the chance to ear postsecondary credit while in high school. Research has shown that students who participate in these courses are more likely to enroll or persist in postsecondary environments such as technical school, community college, or four year universities. BHS currently offers four types of EPSOs: dual enrollment, local dual credit, advanced placement, and industry certification.
Early postsecondary opportunities allow students to
- earn post secondary credits while in high school.
- develop confidence with postsecondary rigor and expectations.
- make informed postsecondary and career decisions.
- decrease the time and cost of completing a certificate or degree.
