Parent FAQ's
You've got questions--We've got answers!
  • The school itself does not provide a supplies list; however teachers will provide students with a syllabus and needed supplies for each class during the first days of school. Paper and pen (or pencil) will suffice in the meantime.
  • During the 2021 school year, school breakfast and lunch were free to all students. Snack cart is available during the day.
  • Students will receive a school ID that they will need to wear each day. We provide a lanyard, but your child does not have to use that lanyard if he chooses to provide his own. However, for security purposes, it needs to be on and visible at all times.
  • Students can always pay with cash.
  • Make checks payable to Brighton High School. Make sure your child's name and grade are on the check as well as your current phone number.
  • Brighton High School cannot take credit or debit cards, nor do we have PayPal or Venmo payment methods.
  • Every student has access to Skyward login, as do parents. Skyward is always the most up to date version of your child's grade. If you are concerned about a grade, the best contact would be the teacher. Counselors and administrators are also here to help.
  • Each teacher has his/her tutoring time listed on his webpage. The tutoring schedule is also posted on the Academics tab
  • Parent drop off is in the front of the school beginning at 7 am. Entering from the front entrance from the highway, go right and follow the lane around past the gym and then drive in front of the school.
  • Parent pick up occurs on the far south end of the building past the freshmen wing. Please drive behind the school around to the side of the building where you can meet your child at 2:35. (On half days of school, students are dismissed beginning at 10:50.)
  •
  • See the Report card tab under Academics.
  • When you get to school enter through the front office door.
  • You will have to buzz in and present your photo id when you enter the building.
  • The timing of 1/2 days is the 1st and 2nd period blocks. The tardy bell still rings at 7:32. 2nd period ends at 10:40. Car riders and parent pick up will be dismissed at that time. Buses will run immediately after.
  • Lunch is not served on half days.
